About Us
Meet Our Elders
We believe in the Scriptural model of a plurality of ruling elders, all working together to provide direction, teaching and oversight for the church. Many of the pastoral staff as well as a group of laymen make up our elder board.

Our Current Elders
Elders are elected by the congregation and serve for 3 years at a time, with the terms staggered so approximately 1/3 are up for election at any time. There is no set limit on the number of deacons allowed to serve in the church. We are always looking for people aid in some of the elders ministries and to serve as elders. If you have a particular need or if you would like to serve contact Bill Walters, the head of the Elders Steering Committee.

Current Responsibilities:Currently I serve as the secretary of the Board of Elders, serve on the Christian Education Committee, and host a Small Group Bible Study in our home. I also enjoy occasionally teaching adult Sunday School. |
Ken Reif - SecretaryI have served on the Board of Elders since 1985 (?) having a great love for teaching God’s Word particularly in small group setting. My wife and I have been blessed to have hosted several of these groups in our home over the last 25 years. I have worked as a senior engineer at PPL Electric Utilities for the past 31 years. I have bless to be married to my wife Kathy for 25 years and we have be blessed by God with 4 children. On the side I enjoy, camping and traveling with my family, participating in our children’s activities, and bird watching.

 Current Responsibilities:I am currently the chairman of the Membership and Baptism Committee. I am also involved with the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship with head-quarters in Warrenton, Missouri. I serve on the Pennsylvania State Board and the International Board. I also serve with the Minsi Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America.

Walt BortreeI joined the Board of Elders in 1999 and currently serve as the Chairman, Membership and Discipline Committee and the President of CCBFC Inc. I have been married since 1964. We have three grown children and three grandchildren. I recently retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Bill WaltersI became an Elder at CCBFC in 1999. At CCBFC I have been involved as a Deacon, the Men's Ministry, the Music Ministry (drums), leading and teaching in the Adult Sunday School program, and the Youth Ministry. I believe being an Elder is a calling the Lord puts on a man's life and it is a joy for me to serve Him this way. My wife of 20 years is my team mate in this ministry and it would not be possible without her support. We have three children ages 18, 15, and 12. I have "made tents" as a packaging engineer for the last 23 years and when I am not at home or at church, I am Technical Director for Pacific Bag, Inc.
