We as a church family have called a number of people to serve us in a full-time capacity shepherding the flock and overseeing the various ministries of the church. Many of these are ordained pastors in the Bible Fellowship Church. Others serve as full-time directors of key ministries within the church.
All of our Pastoral Ministry Staff serve at the invitation of the Board of Elders. They are each either voting members of or observers to the Board of Elders and serve with equal voice to the lay Elders. They are each full time members of the staff here to shepherd the congregation through teaching, prayer, encouragement and service to the members of the church. They are not here to personally do the ministry of the church as much as to equip each person for works of service and see that the Body of Christ is built up. The pastoral staff is cared for directly by the Senior Associate Pastor, and all the pastors are overseen by the Pastoral Relations Committee of the Board of Elders. Pastor Cliff Boone - Senior PastorCliff Boone joined our staff as Senior Pastor in January of 2002. He had been our Minister of Christian Education and Youth from 1986–1990. During that time a visionary plan was conceived for reaching the Sandawe people of Tanzania with the Gospel. Cliff was chosen to lead the missionary team to Tanzania. For eleven years he and the team worked in evangelism, discipleship and church-planting. Having completed his part of the task, and because our former Senior Pastor had retired, the church called Cliff back from Tanzania to be our Senior Pastor. Cliff graduated from West Virginia University (B.S.) and Columbia Biblical Seminary (M.div.) and is currently doing post-graduate work through The University of Wales and Highland Theological College (Scotland). Cliff is a student of the English Puritans. His favorite theologian/pastor of the past is John Flavel. He loves to roller blade for exercise and enjoys the outdoors. Cliff and his wife Becky have three school-age children. If you don’t find him at the church you may find him and Becky cheering at local high school sporting events.
