Who Are We?

We began back in 1889...  Since then we have been a stable, growing church that is in its third location.  Coming from a Mennonite tradition but moving into a Bible church tradition, the Bible Fellowship Church is biblical in its theology, baptistic in its practice, and reformed in its polity.  The history of our denomination can be found at our denominational website, www.bfc.org.

In the early 1960's, Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, then located on 8th Street in Allentown, planted a daughter church on 12 acres way out in the suburbs.  This new church, Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, started to grow to the point when in 1978 the downtown church merged with the suburb church and became the current Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church.  Expanding facilities and continued growth has enabled CCBFC to be a lighthouse for biblical teaching and preaching at a strategic place in the Lehigh Valley.

Besides our growing congregation, we house Lehigh Christian Academy, an elementary school with 350 students in grades K-8,  and a number of other church and community groups.  We regularly host Seminars, Concerts and other strategic ministry events for the community.  We also maintain 'Camp Bethel' a rugged 72 acre retreat center in the Pocono mountains for the use of our congregation and others.  It is our desire to use our facilities to bring honor and glory to God throughout the week and all year long.
