May 1, 2008 : Special Services Announced for May 25, June 29

We have a number of special events coming up in the life of the church (for complete details go to CedarCrestBfc.org and click on "Special Events in May, June"). Two of those will effect our Sunday Morning Services. On May 25 we will have our Memorial Day Sunday Celebration, and on June 29 we will have our Africa Team Comissioning. For both of these events we will have A SINGLE 9AM SERVICE. There will be no Sunday School or 10:30 service those days, so be sure to come join us at 9am! (note: there will still be a nursery available each Sunday)

May 1, 2008 : New Summer Schedule Released

This summer at Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church will be different than previous years and hopefully those that come hereafter. Due to the building project many of the rooms that are normally used for Sunday School and VBS will instead be storing furniture or in a state of renovation. Because of this, we will need to adjust our programs to fit within the available rooms, including suspending a number of regular events for the monsths of July and August Full details are on our website under "Special Events in May, June"

Did you know several ministries in the church maintain their own websites? To find out what the Youth are doing and see lots of photos and other fun stuff go to www.cedarcrestyouthgroup.com and to see Ladies Bible Studies own Web Site go to CedarCrestBfc.org and select "Ministries", "Women", "Ladies Bible Study". For other ministries the church is always online at CedarCrestBfc.org.

We have recently upgraded the calendars available on our church website, simply go to CedarCrestBfc.org and click on "News and Events" to see all our calendars. You can also be informed whenever there is a new "News Flash" announcement, online sermon, or photo album update by subscribing to RSS Feeds and/or Podcasts (go to "Contact Us", "Web Subscriptions").

April 2, 2008 : WebNote #8: Photos!

Our website now has Photos! See the latest photos from the education wing and recent church events (if you have digital photos of an event, put them on a CD, DVD or USB drive and get them to Mark Bickel, box 645). Online Photo Albums are at CedarCrestBFC.org (select "News and Events" "Photo Albums", or click the construction photo on the home page).

April 2, 2008 : Final Update: Pastor Erb's Health

After a nuclear stress test taken Wed, March 26th, and a consultation with his heart specialist on April 2, Pastor Erb has been cleared for normal activity, starting slowly and building up. His heart function is normal, there is no damage, critical blockages are open, and other blockages have been partially by-passed by collateral arteries that developed naturally (praise God). He won’t need to see his heart specialist for six months unless symptoms occur again. He has been on vacation since March 24th, has moved into a new home in Alburtis, PA and will return to his responsibilities beginning Monday, April 7. He and his family give thanks to God for His grace and mercy and strength. They also want to thank everyone who has prayed, provided meals, helped with the move and encouraged them with cards, flowers and other expressions of love.

March 6, 2008 : WebNote #7: New Additions to the Web

Recent additions to CedarCrestBfc.org include March and April coming events (Home Page), Sermon transcripts from 2000-2004 as well as "Most Requested Sermons" (Worship / Sermon Archives), and Missionary Photos (Ministries / Global Missions / Missionaries). We have also been posting updates on Ron Erb's health at the top of the home page as a News Flash (which you can subscribe to!).

March 5, 2008 : Update 5: Pastor Erb's Health

3/5/08 at 2:50pm: Pastor Erb is home from the hospital and is praising God for His protection yesterday during his heart procedure. The doctor told him later that he had a "close call" with the balloon treatment. When he removed the balloon, the artery collapsed and if he wouldn't have been able to quickly insert a thin wire in time, Ron would have had a heart attack and gone through emergency by-pass surgery!! The stent procedure in the other 90% blockage went well and they are going to re-evaluate his situation in 4 weeks to see if they are going to stay with the decision to leave the 100% blockage alone because it has grown a collateral (a God made by-pass). The doctor has given him permission to resume his responsibilities on Sunday, March 9th. Pastor Erb writes: THANK-YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT. My family and I are giving God the glory for the great things He has done!! Through this trial we have seen God at work and thank Him for His many blessings. We look forward to seeing all of you on Sunday March 9th. I am especially looking forward to teaching the Baptism class at 9:00am that day. Lord willing, I'll see you then!

March 4, 2008 : Update 4: Pastor Erb's Health

3/4/08 at 2:50pm: Ron called the church office about 10 minutes ago (2:40pm)and told Barbie that everything went well. He will be staying overnight as a precaution.

March 3, 2008 : Update 3: Pastor Erb's Health

3/3/08 at 7:00pm: Ron Erb writes: "I am scheduled to arrive at Lehigh Valley Hospital at 9:30am Tuesday to begin preparations for the heart procedure. It will begin sometime after this. The procedure itself takes approximately one hour. I will have to stay at the hospital all day and overnight for observation. If all goes well, I should be discharged some time on Wednesday. Thank you for praying." We will post an update after the procedure.

March 1, 2008 : Weather Update: Sat. Woman's Seminar is on!

3/1/08 at 6:30am: Praise God, most of the forecasted snow missed us, and so the Saturday, March 1, Woman's Seminar with Jan Morrison is happening as scheduled, so come join us!

February 26, 2008 : Update 2: Pastor Erb's Health

2/25/08 at 5:00pm: The doctors have determined that Pastor Erb's 90% blockages can be treated with a stent/balloon procedure. Therefore, by-pass surgery will NOT be needed. The artery that is 100% blocked has developed a natural bypass so it needs no treatment! Praise be to God!!! The stent/balloon procedure will take place on Tuesday, March 4th so please pray that there will be no complications. If all goes well, Pastor Erb will be back with us on Sunday, March 9th.

February 25, 2008 : Update: Pastor Erb's Health

2/25/08 at 7:37pm: Please continue to pray for Pastor Erb and Carla. A decision has not been made regarding how to treat the recently discovered heart blockages. When more information is available, it will be posted right here, as a new News Flash, on this website.

Women’s Missionary Fellowship and Women’s Ministries Present "When God Says 'NO', The Mystery of Prayer", By Jan Morrison, Missionary at Rift Valley Academy, Kenya. Saturday, March 1st, 2008, 9:00 AM to 12 Noon in the Chapel. Continental Breakfast Provided. No cost, but registration necessary. Forms available on the Literature Table in the Narthex. Return completed forms to Mailbox #106. Childcare is available on an as-needed basis.

January 24, 2008 : Ground Breaking Feb. 10, 2008

Cedar Crest BFC and Lehigh Christian Academy will be joining together to break ground for our new educational wing on Sunday February 10, 2008 at 3pm at CCBFC. Come join us in celebrating this significant milestone in our efforts to complete the Master plan for the Master's Glory! (note: the main part of the cerimony will be outdoors, so dress accordingly)
